Do you think you can or think you can't?

Have you ever heard he expression: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are always right."?

Henry Ford said this many years ago.

This hit me in such a way that I had to share this with everyone. Remember the old children's story about the "little engine that could"? I remember reading this when I was a kid ( I don't remember the whole story, just the jist.)

Anyway, here was this little engine train climbing a huge hill. What did he tell himself?

He continually told himself: "I think I can, I think I can," and so on. He got to the top of his hill and over the hump because he continually believed in himself by telling himself HE CAN.

What a positive mindset!

This so relates to the successful people in business and in sports. Athletes, businessmen, along with other populations of people will always have those "hills to climb" in life.

It's the ones that tell themselves "I can" that cultivate the expectation of success.

They see that vision of success so clearly, they don't realize the magnitude of the steepness of their hill. And that's when true winners and leaders are developed.

Your mind is so powerful that you either talk yourself into success or talk yourself into failure.

I see this a lot in business especially those that are looking for an opportunity to make some money at home.

You will have the people that will question themselves and end up not believing in themselves. This is where the saying gets it meaning.

You are always right when it comes to the decision in believing in yourself or not!

Do you think you can or can't? I guess it doesn't really matter, because you will always answer this one right!

To all of your success,

Tendencies of a Home Business "Tire Kicker"

First of all: What are "tire kickers?"

To me these are people who aren't serious about taking that leap of faith to become their own boss. Or, they "try" a home business, quit and fail.

Then what happens?

They trash their sponsor and home business they are in because they CAN"T accept the fact they failed! It's very emotionally painful for us humans to accept failure. Yeah, most people do fail in the home business industry. They are the "tire kickers".

Here are some tendencies of a "tire kicker".

1. They Constantly "pitch" their opportunity to EVERYONE! Now sometimes this works. But soon people drop off because they sense the "tire kicker" is only chasing money!

Some Leadership's advice: ALWAYS provide value to people. Make people Chase YOU!! It's so much easier to buy something you already want isn't it? Remember this: Contribution ALWAYS comes before collection.

2. They use words like "I'll TRY" or "Sorry" (they will apologize). First let's discuss why they say "I'll Try".
Saying "I'll Try" gives yourself the option to fail. Have you ever heard this: "Well, I tried but..."

Some leadership advice: Never say "try", just DO IT!! Never give yourself the option to fail. Yes, you may fall down sometimes in business but the only way to ultimately fail is if you QUIT! Remember this: Failures are essential to success and are lessons in disguise.

A tire kicker: Says "sorry". To me apologizing develops a weakness in your character. Sorry- is the easy way out. This will never build your character as a business person. How may times do you think Donald Trump has apologized?

Some Leadership advice: Stand up for what you believe in. Be that strong leader the everyone wants to follow.

3. They are impatient! They need to see immediate results NOW! Life being an entrepreneur is a long journey. "Tire kicker's" have the Lottery mentality and demand instant results.

Some Leadership advice: There are many things to work on when becoming an entrepreneur. Patience is definitely something you need to understand. He that can have Patience, can have what he will.

4. They have NO MINDSET! Many of these people don't even know what this means!! They have no way to know how to rebound from tiny failures that will present themselves in their journey. They believe: When fear presents itself, safety is their GOD.

Some Leadership advice: You got to have an unbreakable mindset to manifest that vision for you to become successful in business. Never let failures conquer you!

I really do believe that current "tire kicker's" can break free from their negative tendencies.

They have to surround themselves with the people they want to become, believe in themselves, set goals with a deadline, promote themselves instead of their products or services, and have that unbreakable mindset to conquer all failures and others who don"t believe in them.

Thanks

How do you develop a positive mindset?

Here's what you gotta do:

Aim as high as you possibly can so that even if you fall

short of your vision, your chances of success are still

good. Thinking positively excites your emotions and this

helps to stimulate your creative spirit.

Your brain responds to stimuli. Expose yourself to positive

stimuli and avoid the negative. You will eventually begin to

see more things as possible. Read the success stories and view videos of

others who came before you. The more you absorb the positive

mindset of successful men and women, the more you see

yourself on the same path of success.

Those who expect negative things to happen, often experience

negative things and fail as a result. A home-based

entrepreneur who has a negative mindset is likely to give up

on his business the moment that an obstacle presents itself

because it will be seen as impossible to surpass.

A home-based entrepreneur who has a positive mindset is

likely to encounter success. Having a positive mindset does

not mean that your path will be free of obstacles, but

someone with a positive mindset will find a way to get

around them. One of my many mentors told me:

"Obstacles are those scary things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."

Why Successful People Make Quick Decisions

So why do successful people always make quick decisions?

Successful people tend to first "check their gut". They check their gut, then their heart, then their brain. Always in that order! Then they make that decision.

They trust their gut so much that they rarely change their mind because they have already made their decision. Test this if you want. Try to persuade your boss (ONLY if he/she is worthy of the title: Success) into changing his/her mind about the things going on in your company or work.

Successful people will ask themselves if this will take me closer to my goal, or further away from it. They know what their goals are, and now can take the decision they made and make it happen.

They will ask: Is this a good idea? There is always only 2 options: yes or no. There never is that "gray" or "cloudy" area.

If the answer is yes, they find out the things they need to possess be a success. They know where to go to get resources or ways to produce the results they desire. If they don't know where to get resources or the ways, the go out and FIND or CREATE them.

Many people may question or criticize the decision a successful person makes. Successful ones will always remain undeterred. No one will break the mindset and decisions of the affluent.

Let's take a look at what "normal" or "unsuccessful" people think.

Normal people think about all the possibilities that could go wrong. They think about what their family and how their friends may judge. They will look at their current and past situations and failures and think: How will I solve my problems? Is this the right thing to do? Will this work for me this time? They ask themselves way too many questions!

After all of this emotional pain they go through, then they make the decision. They usually still have that doubt in the back of their mind. Their is no gut feeling, its all a headache for them. They go in the reverse order of the successful ones by checking their head first, then their brain, and finally their gut. Any of this sound familiar to you?

Have you ever heard the concept of: There is no such thing as a bad plan, just bad ideas? The successful can take a bad plan and implement good ideas to reverse their misfortune. Normal people will take the bad plan and try to force the bad ideas to "try" to create success.

So, How long does it take for you to make a decision?

Remember this: Successful people make decisions very quickly, and change their mind very slowly.

Thank me,

Greg Schmidt

Lazy People and a Broken Escalator.

So I was getting off the tram in the Denver airport and on my way to baggage claim. (Denver has an underground tram system that takes you from the terminal to baggage claim/ticket counters) As I was going toward the 2 escalators to head upstairs, there was a sudden halt by the crowd before getting on. Everyone was getting on 1 of the escalators because the other one was broken!! I thought to myself, What a bunch of lazy people!!

I mean who would dare to actually WALK up the stairs of the broken escalator!!

This kind of hit me in a funny way with how people react when something minuscule happens to them and don't know how to react to it.

It's a broken escalator!! You can still WALK up the dang thing!!

And what's funny was most people were waiting to use the revolving one!! Some decided to take the stairs. Very few though, maybe 3%?? HAHA

This is interesting for me to see. This is how most people react when something is out of the norm for them and can't quite grasp to do next.

These are the people that know how to accept an obstacle in front of them and overcome it. Live isn't always going to give you the easy way up to the top like the escalator.

So I admired those that took the stairs. Definitely people that I could see being my potential team members!

Review on Carbon Copy Pro

I am going to discuss the hyped up internet marketing system called Carbon Copy Pro. I will first provide the facts about Carbon Copy Pro, then I will give you my take on it.

Carbon Copy Pro creates for people an easy plug in and play internet marketing business. This system provides a fully staffed virtual office, communication tools, business resources along with the training and support needed for each member’s success.

Carbon Copy Pro is membership based and is by referral and application only to protect the integrity of the community.

So Here’s what you get with CCPro:

Also, CCPro gives each member the educational tools, support and resources they require to market anything, to anyone, anywhere in the world, regardless of experience or technical expertise.

SO here’s my take on CCPro:

Quite honestly, I was impressed with this system. I was skepitcal at first, just like I always am. But reviewing everything there is to know about this made me feel much more comfortable joining this community on entrepreneurs 4 months ago..

Here’s WHY:

I have been in the network marketing industry for about 5 years now. I have been in 2 MLM companies and I have never seen a system that is so easy to plug into.

Training calls and webinars everyday! This is so powerful keeping you in the loop. These training calls allow you to learn from the top earners in this industry. All of the calls/webinars are posted in your own “back office” just in case you missed them.

The support system is ALWAYS there for you. Now with live chat and emails, the support system is much more powerful and precise to getting all of your questions answered.

No Selling! This system sells products fro YOU! People are going to find out what you are doing on the internet and will want your product! CCPro will do the selling for YOU! No More PITCHING!!

The Name: Carbon Copy Pro. YOU get to copy the pros! Everyone in this community shares their ideas with YOU to become successful. Follow the leader! You get to Mastermind with these PROs and implement what they are doing! I know many other MLM companies don’t do this.

Mindset and Personal development training. I have never had this with any other company. This part is probably my favorite. Monday thru Thursday there is a call just on being a better person and leader. We call it our “cup of leadership” (instead of “cup of coffee”).

This system is set up to be a "System dependent system" - meaning you will not have to rely on your sponsor and ask the questions what to do next. Everything you need to be successful is located in your own "back office" website that is provided for you.

So in closing, I got to admit, I am impressed with this system and community of entrepreneurs. I have got to meet many successful people in the industry and now know what it takes to be a successful online marketer. By the way, Tony Robbins uses this system too. Ever heard of him?

So here’s my reason why I wanted to become and internet marketer.

A Poem from Napoleon Hills' Think and Grow Rich

I bargained with Life for a penny
And life would pay no more.
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is just an employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked for Life,
Life would have willingly paid.

So remember:  "No more effort is required to aim high in life to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty."

Napoleon Hill

What Constitutes a Good Life? -by Jim Rohn

——————————————————————————————————————-

The ultimate expression of life is not a paycheck.
The ultimate expression of life is not a Mercedes.
The ultimate expression of life is not a million dollars or a bank account or a home.

Here’s the ultimate expression of life in my opinion, and that is living the good life.

Here’s what we must ask constantly, “What for me would be a good life?” And you have to keep going over and over the list. A list including areas such as spirituality, economics, health, relationships and recreation. What would constitute a good life? I’ve got a short list.

1) Number one, productivity.

You won’t be happy if you don’t produce. The game of life is not rest. We must rest, but only long enough to gather strength to get back to productivity. What’s the reason for the seasons and the seeds, the soil and the sunshine, the rain and the miracle of life? It’s to see what you can do with it. To try your hand, other people have tried their hand; here’s what they did. You try your hand to see what you can do. So part of life is productivity.

2) Next are good friends.

Friendship is probably the greatest support system in the world. Don’t deny yourself the time to develop this support system. Nothing can match it. It’s extraordinary in its benefit. Friends are those wonderful people who know all about you and still like you. A few years ago I lost one of my dearest friends. He died at age 53 - heart attack. David is gone, but he was one of my very special friends. I used to say of David that if I was stuck in a foreign jail somewhere accused unduly and if they would allow me one phone call, I would call David. Why? He would come and get me. That’s a friend. Somebody who would come and get you. Now we’ve all got casual friends. And if you called them they would say, “Hey, if you get back, call me we’ll have a party.” So you’ve got to have both, real friends and casual friends.

3) Next on the list of a good life is your culture.

Your language, your music, the ceremonies, the traditions, the dress. All of that is so vitally important that you must keep it alive. In fact it is the uniqueness of all of us that when blended together brings vitality, energy, power, influence, uniqueness and rightness to the world.

4) Next is your spirituality.

It helps to form the foundation of the family that builds the nation. And make sure you study, practice and teach. Don’t be careless about the spiritual part of your nature, it’s what makes us who we are, different from animal, dogs, cats, birds and mice. Spirituality.

5) Next - here’s what my parents taught me… Don’t miss anything.

Don’t miss the game.
Don’t miss the performance,
don’t miss the movie,
don’t miss the show,
don’t miss the dance.

Go to everything you possibly can. Buy a ticket to everything you possibly can. Go see everything and experience all you possibly can. This has served me so well to this day. Just before my father died at age 93 if you were to call him at 10:30 or 11:00 at night, he wouldn’t be home. He was at the rodeo, he was watching the kids play softball, he was listening to the concert, he was at church, he was somewhere every night..

Live a vital life. Here’s one of the reasons why. If you live well, you will earn well. If you live well it will show in your face, it will show in the texture of your voice. There will be something unique and magical about you if you live well. It will infuse not only your personal life but also your business life. And it will give you a vitality nothing else can give.

6) Next are your family and the inner circle.

Invest in them and they’ll invest in you.
Inspire them and they’ll inspire you.
With your inner circle take care of the details.

When my father was still alive, I used to call him when I traveled. He’d have breakfast most every morning with the farmers. Little place called The Decoy Inn out in the country where we lived in Southwest Idaho. So Papa would go there and have breakfast and I’d call him just to give him a special day. Now if I was in Israel, I’d have to get up in the middle of the night, but it only took five minutes, ten minutes. So I’d call Papa and they’d bring him the phone. I’d say, “Papa I’m in Israel.” He’d say, “Israel! Son, how are things in Israel?” He’d talk real loud so everybody could hear - my son’s calling me from Israel. I’d say, “Papa last night they gave me a reception on the rooftop underneath the stars overlooking the Mediterranean.” He’d say, “Son, a reception on the rooftop underneath the stars overlooking the Mediterranean.” Now everybody knows the story. It only took 5 - 10 minutes, but what a special day for my father, age 93.

If a father walks out of the house and he can still feel his daughter’s kiss on his face all day, he’s a powerful man. If a husband walks out of the house and he can still feel the imprint of his wife’s arms around his body he’s invincible all day.

It’s the special stuff with the inner circle that makes you strong and powerful and influential. So don’t miss that opportunity.. Here’s the greatest value. The prophet said, “There are many virtues and values, but here’s the greatest, one person caring for another.” There is no greater value than love. Better to live in a tent on the beach with someone you love than to live in a mansion by yourself. One person caring for another, that’s one of life’s greatest expressions.

So make sure in your busy day to remember the true purpose and the reasons you do what you do. May you truly live the kind of life that will bring the fruit and rewards that you desire.

To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

The 3 types of social groups

There are 3 types of social groups: Alphas, Pre-Alphas, and Betas. I will discuss the difference between these groups and you decide at the end of this article which group you fall into.

Let's start with the Alphas. These are usually known as the dominate person in a group. Alphas, or simply the leaders, tend to have a strong presence within their own group that they are associated with. An Alpha can be a captain of a sports team, a pastor of a church, or a grocery store manager. The common thing everyone has in this group is leadership. Every one of these leaders has others look up to them. They follow their advice. They have a dominating presence and attract others because of this trait. Alpha leaders also never back down from a challenge. They take whatever is in their way and conquer it. It doesn't matter to them if someone is critical to them of their business. They tend to just ignore the disparaging. Their mindset is so strong that it is unbreakable to anyone trying to bring them down a level. These leaders can also radiate confidence over their followers that are the next social group, the pre alphas.

The second type of social group is called a Pre Alpha. These are the people who have the up and coming traits as an Alpha. Pre Alphas are willing to do anything their Alpha Leader tells them to do to become as successful as them. Someday these pre alphas will become an Alpha as long as they continue to follow the footsteps of their leader. They will have to continue to move out of their comfort zone and start implementing their own leadership qualities. This takes time. You can't become and Alpha overnight. To become a leader, you must follow first. Too many times people think they can become a leader without following first. These people are called Beta's, the third type of social groups.

The difference between a pre alpha and a beta is that the pre alpha has the vision and the willingness to get through their adversities. The betas are classified as the "wanna be's" They think that they can surround themselves with an Alpha and "wish" or "hope" that success runs right off them. This will never happen. Wishing to be successful in business is absurd. Beta's think that once they join a business because they know someone else in that business, that the money is going to fall into their lap. They will also never take responsibility for their failures. They will always blame someone else and use excuses. And everything is a "scam" to them. It's a rarity that a Beta will put trust into someone else. They might tell you that they have the belief to be successful, but a lot of times this is a fake belief. They will only tell you what you want to hear.

A lot of times people wonder how to become an Alpha leader. This is very simple. Start surrounding yourself with the people you want to model. Acquire that unbreakable mindset that you need to conquer ANYTHING! Believe in yourself to transform your actions and behaviors into the results you want to see. Bring as much value to others in all aspects of life and watch this world become a better place!

So what category do you fall into?

Until next time,

Greg Schmidt
