Is Fear Holding You Back? Some Leadership Advice.

Got a question for you:

Is fear holding you back in your decision to do something? Many times it is, for the majority of people. Why is this?

The definition of fear: be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event.

I think people are so afraid to take some risk, that they would rather "play it safe" and remain in their current state. Remember my You Tube video?

This is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful in business and in life. Unsuccessful people know when fear presents itself - safety is their God. When fear presents itself and stares this majority population in the face, they turn around and run like a deer that's on a road facing an oncoming car. They find a safe place that's in their comfort zone.

They become one with an undecided heart. People fail with fear breathing down their neck asking: Should I...? Should I not...? Indecision is debilitating and habit forming. It's contagious and is transmitted to others. With this indecision, people tend to hold back. Never taking that first step toward their dreams. Too much of their life has been believing their doubts and doubting their beliefs.

What happens then as times goes on and people run from fear, the majority (unsuccessful) tend to keep losing faith and confidence in themselves. Here begins their downward spiral.

How are we supposed to live in a better world when we have too many indecisive people?

Enough with the negative. Here's my positive leadership advice:

Does fear hold the successful back? No WAY!! We understand that fear is just an illusion. We have no time to be afraid. We know that until we have accomplished what we were set on this earth to do, we will not and cannot be harmed.

Our dreams are so much bigger than the potential criticisms and obstacles that we will face in life. Our faith in our abilities as successful entrepreneurs can conquer fear by having the faith to get through the fearful situation and not around it by running away.

Fear doesn't hold us back. Fear may present itself right in front of us, but we know that playing it safe is NOT the answer. We know that in order to have a bigger and better life for ourselves and family, we must play a bigger game. And by playing a bigger game we will kick fear in the face because we know our prize is on the other side!
